Doran and Nymeria have been together since they were kittens and lived with one woman as indoor-only cats until she decided to discard them outside. A neighbor found them outside, scared and confused. They have only known one home/person, so after losing that, they are scared at first when they are in a new setting. You can see from their photos how happy they are when they've settled into a home with someone they know and love. They don't interact much with each other in their current foster home, so do not need to be adopted together. Doran is ready for a home with someone who can provide him with more attention. Once he settles in after a week or two, he will come up to you to be petted, and he will spontaneously purr when you are around. He doesn't mind being held either. Doran will sometimes 'talk' to you to get your attention and will nuzzle his face against your hand to let you know he'd like to be petted please.
Doran and Nymeria are very loving cats who enjoy being petting and to sit next to you. They need someone with a little bit of patience and understanding, knowing that the world as they knew it has been completely turned upside down. It will take them a little time to get used to a new environment, new smells, new people, etc. They want to be in a home and to have someone to love like they did before. Doran adjusts more quickly and will roll on his back so you can pet his belly. He also loves wand toys and is very fast if you pull one around for him to chase after. He tries to capture it in his mouth and then he will drag it around after him after he has 'caught' his prey. Nymeria loves to be petted and brushed, but will take more time to adjust. She is very passive, and will purr quietly as you pet or brush her.
Doran (longhair male) and his sister, Nymeria (shorthair) have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated, have tested negative for Feline Leukemia, and are estimated to be approximately 3 years old.
