My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Olivia is a 1-year-old spayed female black lab. Olivia weighs 69 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

UPDATE: Young, sweet, smart and good looking- that’s Livi! But who stuck an Akita’s tail on her? We’ll forgive it as her coat is thick, shiny and soft- pretty darned gorgeous!
Livi has just been at her foster home for 24 hours, but FM thinks she I safe sharing a bit:
Livi is super with the resident labs and loves to play chase- she is a bit larger, which intimidates them a little, but she fit right in- including those solemn moments like ‘treat circle”, and sharing toys. She is high energy- she is just barely a year old- and seems to enjoy playing with someone, whether human or canine.
She knows “sit, down and drop it” but does need constant reminders to get off the counter; she has both the ability and desire to clear the counters if you don’t first. She is strong on the leash and should be walked with a harness.
Livi slept all night (on a loveseat of course) and had no accidents, unlike so many new fosters, no matter how housebroken.
Livi is not really a snuggler, but she will keep you clean with kisses.

DESCRIPTION: Olivia, now known as Livi, has been very well cared for and loved, but after a stick wedged in her teeth sent her to the ER (no trauma), her adopters decided they hadn’t budgeted for a dog’s medical expenses and returned her. Liv is an affectionate, playful girl who enjoys her time with other dogs, as long as it isn’t mealtime- she prefers to dine alone so she can savor each bite. She knows the commands of “sit, down, come and off” and walks well on a leash, although she will pull to visit other dogs and to clear the area of the squirrel scourge.
Livi was crate trained, but hasn’t used one since she got through the puppy business, and can be safely left alone. Livi takes an inexpensive medication daily to prevent incontinence and does well on it. She has chewed a few household items, but none recently; she does love to chew on sticks, so needs to be monitored outdoors. She has learned that sometimes really good stuff is left on counters, so she does check those out.
Livi enjoys human and canine visitors and also enjoys playing with neighboring dogs and those she has met at the dog park. Like most self-respecting Labs, she likes to retrieve balls; she has not dabbled in water sports. Livi does enjoy car rides and behaves well in the car.
