My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harley is a 4 year old, lab/Eskimo mix and weighing 32 pounds. (a perfect weight) Harley was hit by a car and severely injured his back leg. After learning he would need an amputation his family decided on euthanasia. Thank goodness the doctor on duty stepped in and talked the family into relinquishing their dog. Harley received the medical care he needed and he has arrived at PWD. Harley stayed with a family before transport, and they had nothing but great things to say about him!

" Harley is one happy boy. He loved everyone he has met including humans of every size and dogs of every size. Losing a leg has not slowed this boy down one bit. He loves to run and play and he is still super-fast! He was a huge cuddle bug and will jump on the couch or bed to snuggle with any person wanting a dog snuggle. He is crated trained and house trained. He also loved his walks. Marley was also great with my 2 young children! "

Since Harley's arrival we have noticed he is an extremely interested in what's going on beyond our fencing. (chasing a squirrel is probably how he lost his leg) We all feel a safe home would be city living with daily leach walking or a secured fence in area. He is definitely housebroken, good on lead and quiet in his apartment. He is a really nice boy and would make a great companion!
