Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dapper boy is Perry. He is a friendly, sweet young dog who loves other dogs and loves to play ball and run! He was originally found as a stray, but some nice folks rescued him and now he's ready for his furever home.
Perry is a young dog, but not too hyper unless he's wrestling with his fur buddies or chasing the ball. He is learning how to walk on the leash and is almost completely house trained. He loves to sleep on the bed with you at night and is happiest when he's close to his people. He does tend to mark in new places, so we recommend using a belly band and pads to help with that during his transition. Once he feels like his new home is "his place", that behavior stops.
He would benefit from having another younger dog to play with as he does like to be with other dogs and he can learn from their behavior. A secure yard with fencing is important and a house where people aren't gone for long periods of time would be best.
If you are interested in Perry, please complete our adoption application on our website at www.roversretreat.org
NOTE: Perry’s adoption donation is $350
Perry is being fostered in San Diego
