NOTICE: Like most all reputable rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to families who live more than 500 miles (1 days drive) from our location here in central Minnesota.
NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION….
“VITA” is a very pretty, sweet, gentle and loving black Standard Poodle girl who comes to us from a family in northwestern Minnesota. Vita was a family pet who was well cared for, deeply loved and had two litters of puppies. Sadly, her owner’s health began to fail and she could no longer properly care for all of their Poodles, so Vita was surrendered to us.
Vita is just 5 years old (09/11/2014), a heavy 55 pounds and measures 34 inches from the floor to her shoulders. She is very much a VELCRO Poodle who greatly enjoys and thrives on attention from men, women and older children. Velcro meaning she will cling to anyone willing to give her attention. She will push her muzzle under your hand until you pet her. I could see her enjoying a visit to a nursing home or hospice care unit to visit, love and share her joy with the residents.
This big girl is active and has been around other large dogs all her life. She is just fine with them and greatly enjoys their company. Yet she still loves and really wants to be with people while following them around the house, going for rides in the car, meeting people and being with our older grandchildren who are patient and loving with all of our Poodles. Vita IS an extremely nice Standard Poodle girl and a great opportunity for the right family.
Vita is also VERY smart and knows how to move into your “space” to get your attention so you will pet her. She will “sit” and “come” on command. She also understands and knows the word “No”. If allowed, her desire for attention can become excessive. You will need to know how to say “no” and mean it. Vita has been a perfect girl in our home (house trained), will run up and down the steps, has a strong desire to be a member of a family, is learning about the leash so we can go for walks, and absolutely LOVES treats!
PLEASE:
*NO cats and certainly NO aggressive or assertive dogs. Veta would be fine with another large, friendly and easy going dog.
*NO young children as she will knock them over.
*A FENCED YARD WILL BE REQUIRED as Vita likes to run and play.
*STANDARD POODLE EXPERIENCE will be given priority.
Did I tell you this is a really nice Standard Poodle? So Vita’s adoption fee will be 1 million, trillion, zillion, billion, dollars.
However to the right family, her adoption fee will be $550.00 which includes our $38.00 Minnesota state sales tax. She is Vet checked “healthy”, has just been spayed, teeth have been cleaned, she is up to date on all of her shots, Heartworm / Lymes / Ehrlich / Anaplas tested negative, wormed, Home Again micro-chipped and registered. Copies of all her past Vet records are also included.
Her adoption fee also includes a new leash, new collar, her new and very large wire crate, a bag of quality dog food, treats, a bottle of NuVet vitamins, dog toys, a folding toy box, a new blanket, a big, soft, doggie bed that fits into her crate, along with lots of good information to help your adoption move forward on the right paw!
