Hi, I’m Chivas but my foster parents call me Steve. I’m searching for my perfect forever family!
I’m a big boy and sometimes forget how big I am, so a house with older kids or no kids is probably best for me. When my foster parents come home or new people come over sometimes I get a little too excited and might jump on them, but I’m working on keeping all four paws on the ground! I’m potty trained and crate trained. I do well once I’m in my crate, but it may be challenging getting me in there unless you drop a treat in first.
I LOVE toys, especially the stuffed animal ones. I love to carry them around all the time and show my foster parents and dog brother which toy I have. If my future family has furry friends, they will have to be willing to play with me because I love to play (again forgetting my size sometimes).
My foster parents are very impressed with my manners and skills. I know sit, paw, down, and go lay down. Even when they’re eating I’ll go lay down!! I can see all the yummy food on the counter but I haven’t tried to steal any or counter surf. I may seem intimidating to take on a walk because of my size and strength, but I walk very well on a leash and don’t pull even when we pass other dogs and people.
