Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BONDED PAIR
Benson & Nikki go together like peas & carrots! Nikki's exuberant & outgoing personality has proven to be the best thing for Benson who was confiscated from his original owners for cruelty and was initially terrified of people. Nikki's fearlessness & love of life has shown Benson that people & new situations are safe. Benson has learned to play & wrestle from Nikki - she was adamant that he was going to be her playmate and wouldn't give up until she succeeded. The two are constantly together! Nikki is a spitfire with lots of energy who gives the best kisses. Benson is more laidback but plays enough with her to keep her happy. When they aren't wrestling, they do enjoy lap time & cuddles. Benson is a 1 1/2 year old, 12 lb, chihuahua/manchester terrier who is so handsome with his shiny black coat & button eyes. Nikki is a 1 year old chihuahua/dachshund (chi-wienie) who weighs about 7 lbs. These two are so much fun and we've so enjoyed watching Benson grow in trust & confidence under Nikki's tutelage. Because Benson is understandably still a bit tentative when initially meeting people, we think that children younger than 12 years might be too much for him. A socially quiet home would be best for this pair at least until Benson gains more courage. A secure fenced in yard would be best so that the two could run & explore to their heart's content. The adoption fee for the pair is $375; they are both fixed, microchipped & current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .
