Lukas came to the shelter on 10/17/19 at 4 months old and 23.1 pounds. He was thin. The 911 employees wanted to adopt a dog for their center, and they chose Lukas. They took him to the center where he was never alone and started his house training and leash training and crate training. Though they loved him, he was doing great with his training, and they didn't dream they wouldn't get to keep him, the county commission denied their request for the dog. So Lukas had to come back to the kennels. That made him so sad. He wanted to be with people again. On 11/9/19 he was picked up by Barbara Morrison of the Airedale Terrier Rescue of Virginia. Teresa met her in Pt. Pleasant so that Lukas could get into a home sooner. Finally this good dog has been placed. He is so smart and has such a good nature that he is a very desirable pet. Let's get him his own people right away!
