Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** ADOPTION PENDING **
Punkin is so stinkin' cute and trust us, he knows it! He is a sweet, loving little puppy who is happy about everything! Punkin is about 5 months old, born in August 2019. He was rescued from a local shelter.
Punkin is a pistol! He is ALL puppy, which means he chews on things, puppy play bites with very sharp little teeth, and has a lot of energy. He definitely needs an experienced dog owner and a home with a good sized back yard to play and rough house in. He would do best with another medium to large breed, adult dog who is tolerant of puppy behavior, to help teach him doggie lessons in how to behave. He is not a good fit with small dogs, who just look like live squeaky toys to him!
Punkin is smart and really food motivated. Training this boy should be pretty easy. He already knows the sit command and we are working on leash training. Like any young Labrador, Punkin needs a family that is willing to give him the time, exercise and training to be a great companion. Labs don't come well behaved naturally, but they do come with plenty of energy and enthusiasm! Obedience training and crating are essential with young Labs, as well as plenty of exercise.
Punkin weighs about 30 pounds now and is growing fast! He still has manners to learn. He nips and jumps and loves to play with other dogs. A young Lab will quickly teach you to pick up anything that you don't want customized by Labrador teeth! Puppies explore the world with their mouths, and Punkin is no exception. He will be too much for small breed dogs or children under the age of about 10 years old.
Punkin has been neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated.
