Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tansy is being fostered in South Carolina, by Kathy. If you have submitted your application and have had you phone interview, you can contact Kathy at mypumpkin@windstream.net for more information on Tansy. If interested in adopting Tansy, please complete an online application at:
https://schnauzerloverescue.net/2015/index.php/applications/adoption-application.
Be sure to add my name as the dog you are interested in adopting at the end of the application.
Tansy is a beautiful approximately 9 year old female schnauzer. As you can clearly see, she has natural ears, as well as a docked tail. Tansy was found as a stray and never claimed at the shelter. Tansy is a dark gray, with white accents. She weighs 18 pounds, down from 20, and could stand to lose another pound. She has a really great appetite and looks forward to meal time. Tansy is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on all her shots.
Tansy is the most active nine year old I've seen! She is ready for action at any time! When I stand up, she is ready to go. Wherever. It doesn't matter. Her alter ego though is a real snuggle bug! She loves to cuddle next to her human. She also like to sleep on the couch pillows. She sleeps in a Pack N Play, and will go stand by it at bedtime. She also really enjoys her bed. Tansy rides well in the car. She is completely house trained and trustworthy in the house. I've never had to contain her, except for post surgery.
Tansy came to SLR with bladder stones, so she will need to be on prescription food for the rest of her life. She is currently eating Hills CD, and eats every morsel. Tansy would love a fenced yard to run around in, although leash walking would help with that last stubborn pound she needs to lose. Tansy knows all the schnauzer songs, the "Greet Foster Mommy When She Comes Home" song is her favorite. She also knows the chorus of "Eat the Appliance Delivery Man" pretty well.
Tansy is a great little dog, and will be a wonderful addition to any home. She currently lives with 6 other dogs and three cats, and does well with them (although she does get a bit frisky with the cats). Tansy would also be fine as an only dog. I think an active household would be best for her, or someone who will take her for walks frequently. Tansy is really quite energetic and playful. You will love her immediately!
