Meet Linus! Linus was found as a stray, but this mystery man is the most well behaved dog who ever strayed. The vet thinks he is around 5 years old, and he is a terrier mix of some sort.
Linus is a very sweet and special dog. What he seems to like most in the world is snuggling up with either a human or under a blanket to sleep, but boy does he love walks! He is housebroken, and has not had any accidents in the house. He is learning to sit for treats, give high fives and spends most of the day in his foster home laying in his doggie bed napping, or curled up with a human. He didn’t have a name when he was found, but answers to Linus now when he’s called, which his foster family worked hard on him with.
Linus is not a fan of cats, children, or his crate. He tolerates the crate, but when his fosters realized how well behaved he was, he has since spent his days lounging on the couch and spends evenings burrowed in a blanket on the bed. He loves being outside, but also loves chasing small animals, so a home with a fence or lots of walks would be ideal. Linus is a bit shy and cautious around new people, and takes a bit to warm up, but once he does, he’s a very loving little dog.
Linus would do best in a home with another dog. He is a little leery of humans at first, and finds comfort and confidence while with another dog. Another dog would also give him comfort in learning the new routine of his new furever home. He has visited the local dog park a few times, and loves to run, but seems hesitant around dogs who enjoy a lot of play. He has been around children ages 5 to 11 and barks until he gets comfortable, so it’s unclear how he would do permanently with children in the home. He is a little protective of his food around other animals, but is doing ok with some gentle correction.
This special little dog is looking for his very own special family to call his own. He is being fostered by Jasmin in Cincinnati. His adoption fee is only $350.00
