My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Moose. I wound up in a high-kill L.A. shelter last July. Every day I hoped my family would come looking for me, but no one did. One day some nice ladies came and spent some time with me in the shelter’s play yard. They decided to save me.

I was SO happy! You see, I’m a playful, friendly dude. I look larger in photos than I actually am, because my head. It’s bigger than the rest of me. I weigh 59 lbs, and I’m kinda roly-poly.

I like kids but they should be middle school-aged since I can be strong when I play. I’m working on my leash manners but I love learning new skills. I’m also fine with other dogs if you introduce me properly. (Not to brag, but the ladies seem to love me!) I regularly go on leash walks with a pack of dogs, and really like that. Also, when I'm really having fun I tend to snort, which my friends find hilarious!

My trainer says I 'm a fun-loving, medium-energy boy. I love sleeping in bed with my human but I'm also fine in a dog bed next to you. I can even stay in a crate for a few hours if you need to leave me alone. I love hiking, running, or jogging alongside you and your bike. An active family would be lucky to have me, and vice-versa! If you adopt me I’ll come with 5 free training sessions! Please do...I would love to be part of a family again!
