Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet marvelous, magnificent 13 year old Maxine. She has officially been cleared for adoption and is ready to find her forever home! Maxine was surrendered to the shelter because her owner claimed he was moving. We quickly discovered that the more likely reason for her surrender was that she has a condition called Megaesophagus. She is prone to regurgitating food and water unless she follows a specific routine. We have found a successful and very easy mealtime routine that involves a slow feeder bowl and an elevated eating platform. She is doing phenomenally and has managed to gain some much needed weight! Her foster mom will happily show any potential adopter exactly what she needs to succeed!
Maxine is a 20 lbs lap dog that just wants to be by your side or in your lap at all times. She is happy to go on a walk or watch tv or snuggle close as you read a book. She is completely housebroken and has not had a single accident since arriving to rescue . She has so much personality and when she wants something, she will definitely let you know with a bark or a paw on your arm. Maxine is a loving and loyal dog who would be an amazing companion! She is wonderful with other dogs as well as every single person she has met! You definitely do not want to miss out on this perfect lady!
If interested in Maxine , please complete an adoption application which can be found at www.seniordoghaven.org. Any questions can be sent to info@seniordoghaven.org.
Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we must have an application on file before we can schedule any meet and greet.
