My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is believed to be a middle aged papillion. He weighs 9 pounds and loves to wear sweaters and coats in the colder temperatures. Abandoned, covered in fleas and shaved to the skin, Toby has made a full recovery physically. His favorite things are going for nice leisurely walks and sunbathing on the couch while looking at the birds outside. Toby is quiet and watchful in his foster home. He is polite and respectful of the house and other members of the family. He currently lives with other NONAGRESSIVE small dogs and is entirely neutral to having other dogs around. He is polite to and ignores cats. He lives with one small child but never seeks out affection or attention and wishes mostly to not be chased or grabbed. He is dignified and requires a home that is understanding of the needs of such a gentleman. He does not want to play ball or run around he wants to lay by you and look at you. He enjoys being fed by hand and greatly enjoys watching a household interact with each other and talk. The perfect forever home for this man would be a quiet one where he isn’t scared or chased or pounced on by big dogs. A safe place with people who want a companion ….an agility prospect he is not but a loyal partner and watchful companion he is. He will not pull you on those walks …instead he prefers sniffing and stopping often. He sleeps at the foot of the bed in a small dog bed all his own. He is vaccinated, neutered, treated for fleas/ticks and heartworm and is ready to meet his future family.
