Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lil Bit is exactly what his name says - a super tiny 4 pound chihuahua. He was a lifelong companion of his beloved owner, and, in fact, acted as her emotional support pet. He went everywhere with her - restaurants, stores, wherever she would go, he was in a back pack with her. His owner spent some time in hospice before she passed away. Tyson's Place Animal Rescue helps terminally ill people find new families for their pets, and his family contacted us to help with Lil Bit upon his owner's death.
Lil Bit is slowly transitioning to life in his foster home. He needs a few reminders about housetraining as when his owner was sick, he wasn't able to get out as often, so we are working on getting him on a schedule. He would need a patient owner who is willing to work with him. Given his very small size, he is a bit fragile, so would do best in a home where there isn't a lot of rough play or rough petting. He has lived with cats, though the cats didn't enjoy his company. Since he was carried a lot, he is working on walking on a leash.
He is a friendly, loving, adoring guy who enjoys being the center of attention. Of course, he loves to be held and cuddled and sleep on the bed with you at night.
Lil Bit is 11 years old and healthy. We did full blood work, vaccinations, heartworm test and prevention, and flea topical. He will be neutered and have a dental cleaning to remove remaining rotten teeth on November 20th and then will officially be ready for adoption.
