My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is Philbert. We believe that he is a shih tzu/dachshund mix around 4 years old. Before he came to us he was kept as an outside dog, and unfortunately was beyond covered in fleas. He has some slight hair loss from issues with fleas and we are working on getting his skin back to a healthy point. Even with having a rough start in life, Philbert is the most amazing little boy ever! He LOVES attention and hopes you are looking for a snuggle buddy. He will gladly sleep with you in bed or watch Netflix with you on the couch. He has done well around other dogs, but we have not seen him try to play with any other dogs yet. We do not know how he would do around children or cats. Philbert is crate trained and is currently working on house training. As long as he is taken out multiple times a day he has very minimal accidents if any. This handsome boy is hoping to find a family that isn’t gone very long hours and is wanting a loving and affectionate dog to spend their time with. Philbert will be ready to start meeting families this week. Wednesday - Friday he can be met in Greensboro around 11:45 or in Burlington after 6:30pm. Saturday he will be available to meet people in Burlington after 2pm, and available anytime Sunday. We generally meet families in public/dog friendly places.
