Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Tanner
Address: Living with Foster Mom (FM)
Ruff Life Dog Rescue of Illowa
Age: Around 2 years old, male
Position Sought: Permanent Loving Home
Weight: 68 #
Breed: lab/pit mix
Color: tan & copper
Stats: healthy as can be, neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped.
Education:I know my new name already and the commands “Sit”, “Wait”, “Paw”, “Other Paw”, “Down”, “Come”, “Leave It”, “Off”, “OK”, “Get Busy”
“Kennel Up” to go in my kennel but I don’t have to use my kennel a lot.
“Load Up” for car rides
“Go for a walk” Go ahead and show me a leash, Yippee!
“Gentle”, I used to nibble but FM says that may get me in trouble later, so now I just carry my friend, stuffed rabbit.
Experience: *“OK” is my release command. I will stay in any position until you say “OK”.
*I don’t chew on ANYTHING. FM tells me she is SUPER happy about that.
*I “Sit”, “Wait”, “Paw”, “Other Paw” until you say “OK” before going through a doorway, then I won’t bolt out and get hurt when we go outside.
*I “sit & wait” while you get my dinner ready & don’t eat until you say “OK”
*I can give you either “Paw”. FM says it’s good for when she needs to wipe my dirty feet. Sometimes
*I even give you my paw when you don’t ask for it, oops!
*I “Get Busy” outside only, I don’t make any messes in the house or my kennel.
*I’ll “Kennel Up”, but I don’t get kenneled at night or when they leave me home alone since I’m so good in the house & with the boring cat.
*I am great at taking naps~REALLY.
*I love car rides and walking on or off leash. FM takes me out for walks in safe places without my leash on & I never go far. I stay near her since some things scare me.
*I don’t like barking, but if I hear a strange noise, I’ll bark once or twice.
*I don’t beg at the table (but I do like the smells).
*I leave my boring cat friend alone, but would love a more playful one. In fact when we go out off leash I can even walk by all the barn cats & ignore them!!
*I play with other dogs, I run, share toys and wrestle with them. My foster friend, Paxton, just got adopted out and I miss him. I wonder if he misses me too?
*I really like the human baby, but FM says I’m too big and clumsy and may accidentally hurt him, so I am not allowed to play with him.
Goals: (not really mine, but this is what FM says I should put down on my resume):
“Off”, I just go happy when I see humans and I forget how big I am.
FM says I need to work on “lay down” and a few other games to make me perfect but since I’m new to this foster thing, she doesn’t want me stressed. (I’m OK with that).
