Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jack- also known as Jackie, Jackie boy or Jack Attack by his 3 year old foster brother. Jack is a 3-4 year old lab mix who is looking for his new best friend. He is quite possibly the sweetest boy you will ever meet with the most kissable, boopable snoot that ever existed. Jack just wants to love and be loved but mostly to love. He is certain that he was made to be a 58 pound lap dog. He loves to cuddle and prefers to be the little spoon. He is both playful and energetic with a whole bunch of couch potato mixed in. He is great with kids. He currently lives with his 3 year old and 8 month old foster brothers and has shown nothing but a great temperament, gentleness and non reactivity with them. Sometimes he does forget his own size and strength so the grown ups will need to be attentive (did we mention he's a lap dog and does not discriminate against the size of the lap he will sit in or on.) Jack is house trained and crate trained. He does walk well on a leash but his walker will need to stay alert and aware because squirrels are really really tempting! Jack also does well with other dogs. In fact he loves them so much he just wants to play and wrestle with them sometimes. Jack would benefit from a more alpha type dog that will help him with his manners and social cues well as a strong, dog savvy human that is willing to put in the effort to work on his training. Jack does have some skin allergies which are being treated with daily medications that will likely be life long. If you are looking for a dog that will think that you are the perfect person no matter what, contact us to meet Jack!
An adoption fee of $250 includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventatives if appropriate, and all medical costs while in our care.
