Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Please read his whole bio before you apply for this beautiful boy**
Apollo is a 4 year old German Shepherd who came to us as an owner surrender. He does not know his own size and he desires a lot of attention. He is full of anxiety, but our behaviorist has assessed him stating he’s a great dog and has a lot of potential as long as his new owner takes the time to work with him. He will need someone who understand this and will be a leader to him.
We would also prefer his new owner have some experience with the GSD breed. Apollo is incredibly smart and will need some training and guidance. He will need to be kept busy, as is common with his breed. This will also help with his anxiety.
Underneath his anxiety Apollo is a wonderful boy. He listens very well and he just LOVES attention. He is learning to play with toys but he's not destructive at all. He just likes to run around the house with it in his mouth. Apollo likes to play with his foster siblings and is extremely gentle with his little 20 pound foster brother. He does like to be the center of attention though, so we would prefer he go to a home as an only dog or with just one fur sibling.
He is kennel trained, potty trained and knows some basic obedience commands. Apollo is good with other dogs and is indifferent toward the cat. We are not recommending children under 10, as he easily knocks them around with his size (and lack of knowledge of his size 😂).
He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. If you are interesting in adopting this sweet boy please fill out an application at: https://form.jotform.com/73194734170154
We will be scheduling meet and greets next week to find the best fit for him.
