Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This very special young guy, Quincy, is ready to find his forever home.
Re his "special needs". After several tests, Quincy been diagnosed with Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and although he's very healthy now, he will require a forever family that can keep a close eye on is health needs (read more below). None of this is holding him back from being the perfect buddy right now, here’s what is fabulous foster has to say:
“Quincy is a little love bug who will literally jump up into your hand for pats. He starts purring as soon as he sees you in the morning, and he always likes to sit nearby. He loves to play fetch with his toy mermouse, and he still has a sweet kitten energy. He runs into the bathroom if he hears you turn on the sink - he absolutely adores drinking from the faucet (and doesn't mind if it means his head gets a little wet)! He also loves food - if you go into the kitchen, he's right at your feet with his funny little "maaap maaap" meows to remind you not to forget his dinner. We think he's the perfect cat - not too needy and not too aloof!”

Quincy was rescued in late September from, you guessed it, Quincy Street in Bed Stuy. Quincy had been hanging out on the streets for many weeks, we can only assume he was abandoned through no fault of his own. He charmed a neighbor to bring him inside temporarily, and she contacted us.
He headed off to the ASPCA for neuter surgery, vaccines, and microchip. We then found out he was FeLV positive and undertook IFA lab test to understand if Quincy was at a late stage of infection, and we got good news. He's currently showing no signs of the illness.
