My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston has been living in our backyard for at least a year. He had a prominent limp but got around fine. After months of trying, we were able to catch him and get him neutered and fully checked out by a vet, who xrayed his hips and did a thorough physical examination. Although he has FIV and a dislocated hip, he's in very good health. He runs, lumps, and climbs and the vet concluded he was not in any pain and the hip was unlikely to be an issue. He's been living indoors since October. He's very affectionate but also very skittish. It took several days of sitting on the floor quietly in his room for him to finally approach someone. Now it's hard to keep him off your lap. He's playful but also extremely skittish, especially with new or unknown people. He's at least 1-2 year old and is neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas, mites, and worms. He will need a quiet place to hide while he
adjusts to his new home but once he comes around he's a lovebug. He probably will not get along with other animals and may not be a great fit for young children.

He uses a litter box and has never gone outside the litter. We've had no issues with him being destructive, marking, vomiting, or any other unwanted behavior.
