Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🚨 We need an immediate foster and funds for this sweet boy Benji who is not even 2 years old. 🐕 He was adopted out from Grace Mercy Love German Shepherd Rescue last October 2018 and then dumped like a bag of unwanted donation clothes by his owner 🗑, to one of our clinics. GMLGS contacted us to see if we could help run point and potentially get him adopted out, since they are located in Houston, TX and we are local and a transport is extra stress and funds. They informed us that when they adopted this darling angel 👼 our to the owner, here in Michigan, there were no medical or behavioral issues after being with in their foster program for several months. The owner would even send updates, like the ones below, of Benji in his new (what they had thought was to be) perfect life on the farm 🐴. GMLGS stopped receiving updates several months ago, which is normal, since life gets busy, but then the absolute worst call ☎️ for a rescue was received. The owner wanted Benji gone…ASAP. 😱😡

We are 100% foster-based and our clinic is making an exception for us housing him longer than we normally would, so we are desperately looking for a permanent foster for him. 🏡 He is a special case, and needs more attention than the average dog in our care, as he was surrendered with severe medical issues. 🏥 An incident happened this past May, when Benji was on a tie out in the yard, where the vet diagnosis was “severe upper airway inflammation causing airway obstruction which could’ve been cause by an allergic reaction or asphyxiation”. The vet back in May recommended surgery which the owners declined. It has now been 5️⃣ MONTHS‼️that Benji has lived in pain and is barely able to eat. We are partnering up with GMLGS to do what is right for Benji and we will do everything possible for him to get the necessary medical attention needed!!
