My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Millie and Gus, a 10 year old bonded pair we’ve been fostering, are still looking for their forever home. Very active for their age, they love long walks, play time in the yard and hanging out with our dogs.
They would likely do best with a family or couple. Ideally a family that is willing to give them the time they need to open up and settle in.

They do have some behavioral challenges, but only when it comes to being leashed. Since being fostered, the behavior is almost completely gone with positive reinforcement, but will need continued training! They are house trained, crate trained (though they prefer to be left in a safe room rather than the crate), and walk well on the leash.
They are very typically schnauzers! Millie the little dark girl is more independent and shy, while Gus the larger grey boy is more vocal, active and snuggly. Both will be your shadow and will be down for whatever it is you’re doing- cuddling, walks, play time in the yard.

Dogs will only be adopted to residents of the following: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and DC.

Adopters must agree to take the dog through obedience training within 3 months of adoption (unless the dog is over age 10).

Adopters must agree to keep the dog current on vaccinations and heart worm, flea, tick prevention on a year round basis.
