Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Initial Bio 10/27/19-
Hello UYR community! My name is Anna Banana and I am he most recent pup to join the UYR Texas team. I am 8 years old and weigh a healthy 14.1 pounds. I was surrendered by my owner since I was a puppy because I they said they just couldn't get me potty trained. Mom kept trying, but dad said I had to go. Luckily mom found the UYR and I didn't have to go to the shelter. I was really scared when I first got to foster mom and dad's house, but they showed me a lot of love and attention from the start and I could see how happy the other pups in the house are. I have quickly warmed up to everyone in the house and now I just love to snuggle on the couch with foster mom or dad. I'm not picky, but just love the attention. Foster mom and dad think that my potty training issues could be because I did not get a lot of attention in my home. I shared the house with a couple other dogs and a few children. Because of this, I do get along well with other dogs and all humans. I am super calm and relaxed and just love spending time with a human. I've been with foster mom and dad for a week and have only had 2 accidents. One was because it was wet and rainy outside (I just didn't want to get all wet) and the other was just an accident. Otherwise, I like to go outside and do my business. I also enjoy just lying on the back porch and watching the day go by.
I went to see the dogtor this week to have my vaccinations and blood work done since I hadn't been to the vet in well over a year. Foster mom and dad were worried I might have some major health issues or maybe even heartworm because I have not been on any preventative, but my blood work came back perfect! I still need some vetting because I am not spayed, need a dental, and I have a mammary tumor. The dogtor says there is a 50% chance this is cancerous, so I will be getting scheduled to have it removed very soon. I will be seeing the dogtor again tomorrow to get all this scheduled. Assuming it is not cancerous, I should be ready to adopt after the surgery, dental, and spay. I came into rescue desperately needing a grooming and nail trim. Foster mom and dad got my nails done quickly and I just got a grooming yesterday. Just check out my pictures.....I have to say I am so cute!
I would be perfect in a home with some patient and understanding parents. I am good with other dogs and children, but don't play much. I am perfectly content on the couch or in a comfy bed. I sleep well through the night in bed with foster mom and dad, as well as my foster mates. I have demonstrated to foster mom and dad that with the proper attention, I am potty trained and prefer to go outside. I might do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. Foster mom and dad are currently working to get me puppy pad trained for the times when they can't be home with me. I have so much love to give and want to be loyal to a loving family. Once you meet me and I look deep into your eyes, you will know you have made the best choice to provide me with a loving home. Please fill out an application using the link below, or contact my foster parents at the email here on my profile.
Anxiously awaiting your application,
Anna Banana
