My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*These bunnies are fully vaccinated for RHDV**

Breed: Angora lionhead
Size: About 4 pounds
DOB: Approximately end of May 2019
Reason in Rescue: Charlotte and Virginia came in with a group of other bunnies from VA in 2019. They were seized in an animal cruelty case after being kept to feed a breeders dogs :(. The shelter didn’t deal with bunnies and was going to euthanize them all until we stepped in. They were adopted out in 2020, but returned because the owners “didn’t have time” for them. When they got returned we discovered that Charlotte had a large mass on her stomach. On going to the vet Charlotte was doing to have a bladder hernia which had been that way for who knows how long as the adopter had “never noticed.” We got her in for surgery right away and she is now perfect and they are ready to find their real forever home!
Personality: Charlotte and Virginia are very sweet little girls. They are affectionately known as the “bunny slippers” here. They don’t mind being petted and are okay being held. Both of them are very good with being brushed now as we do it at least twice a week and trim them regularly. These girls are going to need an adopter that is dedicated to keeping their coats in tip top shape, including lots of brushing and hair cuts. These girls use their litter box very well.
Friends: Charlotte and Virginia must be adopted together as a pair.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 4' for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $125 for the pair which includes their spays, vaccines, and microchips.
