Meet Colleen! She will have you at her first “woof!” She is fun, super friendly and outgoing, and just wants to be with her peeps. She is very curious and playful, and when she is ready to settle down, she’ll want to cuddle on the couch.
If no one else is ready to play, she will play catch with herself! One of her “go to” toys is a little pink blanket, she is alternatively shaking it for the kill, or sleeping with it in her crate. You know she is ready to settle down when her tongue is hanging out of the side of her mouth!
She is a water dog! She loves taking a dip in the family swimming pool and playing with her water dish.
Born around January 2019, Colleen is on the smaller side, and will probably reach around 70 pounds when she is fully grown.
Colleen (also called Cotton in her foster home) was found as a stray. She was unable to put weight on her back leg, and our surgeon determined that hip surgery would correct the problem. She had the surgery followed by eight weeks of crate rest, then rehab with daily walks. She has healed wonderfully!
She is a great, easy-going dog. She still has her puppy energy, playing for hours with her fellow furry foster siblings, then settling in with them and getting a fair amount of sleep during the day. She is deferential/submissive when she needs to be, and playful when she can be. She needs a playful dog companion in her forever home. If you don’t already have one, adopt one from us!
She loves meeting people out on her walks, making as many new friends as possible.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
