Goldy Gopher is a small terrier mix about 1 year old. She came to the Corp fearful of new people. She was rescued from a family that had dogs, that had more dogs, and before you knew it they had their hands full with 29 dogs. Goldy took 4 weeks before she let foster mom pet her. Now foster mom has earned her trust and can snuggle this sweet girl. She sleeps curled up in foster moms arms every night and greets her at the door after work with a happy dance and kisses. Goldy has not yet warmed up to the men in the home. Goldy is ready to find a patient forever home that is willing to give her time to warm up to them. She is not good on the leash yet but is potty pad trained. Goldys best home would have another small dog for her to play with and follow around learning how to be a true family member. Goldy loves her toys and will pull all the toys out of the toy box to make sure she finds the best ones. She would be best in a home with out children.
Goldy Gopher is UTD on vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed, given flea and tick prevention and has been fixed. This furbaby is currently being fostered in Lisle, IL and would love to find a furever home! Adoption fee is $300, if you are interested in meeting or adopting please apply online at www.rescuewarriorscorp.org and we will arrange meet and greets with approved applicants only at thi s time. Are the dogs currently listed not what you are looking for? Do you have a favorite breed and are having trouble finding it? Feel free to follow us on facebook, we are always saving more dogs. https://www.facebook.com/RescueWarriorsCorp/
If you can't adopt, please consider a donation care made directly to the rescue via paypal or contact us at info@rescuewarriorscorp.org. We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 48 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
