Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Banjo is a little Yorkie boy. He is 12 years old and weighs 5.5 lbs. He is being fostered in Zephyrhills, FL.
UPDATED BIO 10/17/2019: Banjo is an adorable and sweet senior fella who found himself homeless and sitting all alone at an area animal shelter. Fast Forward – he has been in his foster home for one week now and is doing very well.
Foster mom reports that Banjo in house-trained – BONUS! He will let her know when he needs to go out to potty and when he thinks it is time to eat. Banjo loves going on walks and enjoys car rides. He especially loves cuddling on the couch next to his foster parents and sleeping in bed with them. Sweet.
Banjo had a recent vet appointment and everything checked out great. He needed a dental cleaning, and lost a few teeth, but otherwise he is a healthy little boy. He has been on an antibiotic for the horrible infection in his mouth, and since his dental, he feels so much better. Banjo gets along with both the cats and other dogs in the foster home, so he would do well either as an only dog, or with another dog close to his size and age.
Banjo does not like being crated – that makes him very sad. Banjo has let his foster mom know that he would like his furever home to be with a retired or stay-at-home individual or couple since he loves human companionship and also loves attention. PLEASE NOTE: Due to his small size, Banjo cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 14 years old.
This adorable little fella has a lot of life left to live and a ton of love to give. Don't turn away from Banjo because of his age - like senior people, senior doggies need love, too!
