Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Medical: Neutered, Microchipped, Vaccinated
Age: 15 Years Old
Story: Please help us welcome our new friend Buddy. This guy has had a tough go of it recently. One of his owners passed away and a few years later the other moved into an assisted living home. Unsure of what to do with Buddy, the family let him outside, as many do, and put the house up for sale. At 15 years old Buddy could not fend for himself and this guy is very thin and has a wound in his mouth we will be examining later this week. Buddy is relieved because the real estate agent for the house saw him and cared. She fed him and worked hard to find somewhere for him to go. One of our staff saw a post about him and worked hard to make it possible for him to come to us.
Buddy is warm tonight. He is medicated. He has a full belly, and is somewhere that no predators or competitors will be able to hurt him. He is safe.
Please do not use this as an opportunity to bash his owners. There are many people who release their cats when they do not realize there are other options for them, this family is just one of thousands and being angry at them accomplishes nothing. Instead, please share these very tired but happy purrs and help Buddy educate people to know better. To know to ask for help from professionals, and that even if 50 shelters are full and turn you away, call 50 more until you find a place that can take him in.
Cats are domesticated animals, meaning we as humans created the modern day cat to be our companions, just as we did for dogs. It is our moral responsibility to stand by these animals we created and instead of turning a blind eye to the epidemic of abandoned and feral cats in our country, working hard to correct our mistakes that brought us here.
If you have a huge heart and want to welcome Buddy into your home we are offering foster, adoption, or forever foster (meaning we cover the cost of his veterinary care and supplies for life to approved families) options for him. Reach out to us, let’s make it happen. He deserves comfort.
