Bret was a stray dog at the train station. We are not sure if he was a stray born in the area or he was abandoned. He scavenged and begged for food from the people coming in and out of the train station and our rescuer was one of the people. The rescuer took Bret to vet and did not find a microchip in him. Luckily, Bret is pretty heath, it did not take long to get him ready to be placed at a temporary foster home.
From the foster family, we learned Bret is interests in cats and will want to go up to cats to sniff them. When meeting new dogs, he is curious and still learning how to socialize and play with other dogs. He has alot of interactions with human of all ages and is not afraid of strangers. Breat is especially food motivated and is very excited for treats and knows the comment for sit to get treats from people. Although he is not food aggressive toward human, we did notice he could be protective of his food when other dogs are around. If there is another dog in the family, we recommend feeding them separately and give Bret some personal space with his food.
