Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chuck the most adorable little blind hound mix! Chuck is 4 years old and weighs about 30 lbs. He was found as a stray and taken to the shelter. Chuck was able to stay at a wonderful foster home while waiting for a transport to be arrange. Here is what his foster mom had to say about this boy,
"Chuck is wonderful! He is house trained. Initially he was inquisitive about my cat, Grey. But they did well together. Chuck can be a little scared and timid at new situations or surrounding but once a routine is established and he has familiarized himself with his path and “step downs” he becomes confident and enjoys going for walks. He loves getting up on the bed or couch but is not comfortable getting down by himself. I always guided him down. He was a wonderful quiet foster pup."
Chuck arrived at PWD a few weeks ago, he is friendly, easy going and would almost say he is perfect! He is now sharing his space with a very shy dog and has helped come out of her shell. He loves to walk around the rescue nose down investigating all the new smells, but when time to come it he has no problem navigating his way back into his area. We would love for Chuck to go to a home with another friendly dog and a small fenced in area for his safety.
Our Eye specialist Dr Weight stated after examination, "Chuck was most likely born with vision but lost it as a young dog due to an untreated infection, parasite or toxin, we will never know the cause but he is comfortable and what a sweetheart."
