My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby was picked up by Memphis Animal Services as a stray. His family knew he was there, but decided not to come for him. It was truly for the best, because they did not take care of him like he deserved. We have gotten him healthy in our care, and he is much happier.

Toby is a chow mix with a typical “chowtitude.” In other words, he can be a bit aloof. When he loves you, he loves you with all his heart, but it will only happen when he’s ready. There is no better feeling than winning over the love of a chow when it happens! It’s an accomplishment to be proud of.?

For this reason, we are requesting no children. He would do best in a quiet home with one or two adults. He is GREAT with other dogs and would love a doggy friend or two.
