Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coco is an 8-year-old spayed female chocolate lab. Coco weighs 60 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION:
UPDATE: October 25, 2019: Sweet Coco loooooves walks and the opportunity to sniff everything, but she does not pull on leash. She has taken short walks 3-4 times per day while she recovers from her spay. She is a medium energy dog now, requiring a couple of walks per day. Fast cars can startle her, but they seem to be the only thing that makes her anxious so far. She can get overly excited, jumping on people, the kitchen counter or table, and will need to work on her manners! She handles stairs without issue and does not bark in the house when her people are home. She does not care for the crate and will bark if crated; we are working on crate training. She is interested in other dogs, squirrels, and sounds, but will observe with interest and will not bark. She seems relaxed and interested in children and other dogs of all sizes, but has not been allowed to meet any of them. Coco happily greets visitors with a wagging tail and kisses:)
Oct. 23, 2019: Coco is such a funny little ham and loves to be your shadow. On the ride home, she stared at me the whole time until she fell asleep facing me. Needless to say she is melting everyone’s heart. As someone who lifts weights, we tend to review our training footage, so I only thought it was appropriate for Coco to do the same.
October 21, 2019: Coco has settled in with her fosters. She shared welcome kisses from the minute she met them. She is a beautiful chocolate snuggler who will be your shadow. She walks very calmly on a leash and does not pay much attention to dogs she sees. We're working on simple commands and she is responding well to food rewards. However, the crate is not her friend.
Coco wasn't interested in interacting with the dogs at the shelter. She would walk away from them.
From her transporters_ what a sweet and kind dog she is. Walks ok on leash and rode great in the car. She is so sweet - gave so many kisses and has a beautiful smile. A very happy girl.
