Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rubie: Age: 1 yr; Weight: 40 lbs; Activity Level: Active Companion; Coat: Rough; Color: Red/White
This is a new rescue-Rubie who is looking for a Foster or Foster to Adopt Home. Rescue works with you one on one, in this case we do ask for local homes only with a proper fence and ample time to help Rubie. Isn't she a looker!! Rubie is a confident young pup who is good with people and dogs (cats and children are not known). She walks well on a leash, likes toys, comes over for belly rubs and does fine wth the other dogs loose while she gets her love time and than she is off to go play! We would like her to be in a dog savvy home with another male dog her size (if there is another dog) that is confident and secure and she can be an alpha to her brother so she may be the bossy lady of the home! Rubie and her brother Reggie were surrendered to a local shelter as their young owner worked a lot with them as younger puppies so they are very well socialized but she didn't have any time to give them the home they needed with her school/work load. The Foster Home will work one on one with rescue for all vetting needs and behavior and we don't know they are with cats or children or fences but we will learn together about Rubies needs and your home maybe her perfect Home Home!! Rubie will need a home with a secure fence (6 feet is preferred as we don't know her enough yet) some fun running room she may really like to play and run and go for walks. We believe she is house trained but she does do well in a crate so crate training is preferred. Children 10 yrs old and up is best and she will need exercise time in the AM and a break during the work day. There is an application to Foster/Adopt and a home visit again local homes only at this time. The adoption fee is $300
