Meet Bambino, one of NLOL's newest additions! This little guy went through an awful lot before he became part of our all-star lineup - he was thrown out of his home by his previous owners and disowned when a Good Samaritan tracked them down. When they contacted us, we couldn't say no to this funny-face and added him to the NLOL family.
We asked Bambino's pug-owning and -experienced foster mom for help with his bio and she had this to say about our smush-face guy:
"Pugs are notorious for being great human companions and this love bug is no exception! Bam was likely an only child in his previous life for he is completely content all by himself, curled up in a corner or snuggled under a table. However, he does love attention and affection both from people and pets and prefers absolutely nothing over a long belly rub.
"Bambino is tremendously kind, docile and trusting. He loves to fall asleep cradled in someone's arms or squished in any basket that might be lying around (literally, any basket he can fit his body into). Bam is as easy to care for as a pug can be. He has absolutely no interest in jumping on furniture, is housetrained and seems not to shed as much as most pugs. You may hear a select few muttered barks when a guest rings the doorbell (which is a trait he picked up from his foster siblings) and it's best to keep a lid on the trashcan, but this little man is anything but mischievous. Bam's teeth were not taken care of in his previous life, therefore he prefers soft food, but his little tongue peeking out of the side of his mouth (due to the lack of teeth to keep it in) makes him about as cute as a pug can be.
"Bambino's temperament makes him an ideal addition to almost any family for it takes little effort to keep him happy. However, a pug is not for everyone. Bam needs be with someone who finds his snoring and snorting endearing and who is not in a hurry, for he is on his own schedule. It is important he reside in a home that is not stingy when it comes to air conditioning and does not spend much time outside for pugs do overheat easily due to their short muzzles. Bambino is a low activity dog, so he won't catch Frisbees, but he'll make up for it in cuddles.
"If you are looking for a sweet, mild-mannered, loving companion then Bambino may be your dream come true!"
Enjoy a little movie of Bambino's snorty self!
