My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Olive came out of a rural Texas shelter to our non-profit service dog training organization 8 days before she had a litter of 5 gorgeous puppies. Every puppy looked completely different! One of her puppies went to a wonderful pet home, and 4 of them are currently 5 months old and starting service dog training with us. Olive is a pretty Lab mix - black with white markings and beautiful hazel eyes!

Olive is a funny and quirky girl. She needs a little time to warm up to strangers and new dogs, but makes progress pretty quickly. She loves cats and is wonderful with them! She can be high energy and zoomy for a few minutes, but settles down quickly and quickly becomes a calm and quiet snuggle bug. She loves belly rubs more than anything else, but also loves playing with toys. Sometimes she mistakes other people's stuff for her toys, but a quick trade for an appropriate toy and she's all good again. Olive is impeccably house trained and does very well in a crate most of the time. There are times when she decides she should be out of the crate and with her people, but she handles the crate quite well the majority of the time.

Olive would do well in a moderately active to active household. She likes lots of attention, but also settles in easily. She will need some patience with her initial shyness/wariness of strangers.
