My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Adoption Pending**

Havok is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), male, DOB: 6/7/19.

An extremely social and friendly kitten, Havok is fearlessly outgoing, confident, engaging, and quick to initiate and welcome friendship with all. An upbeat, cheerful, happy-go-lucky young boy who won’t hesitate to jump-into (and initiate) ruff-n-tumble play sessions with his foster sister, Rogue; other cats and kittens or toys, and sometimes even unsuspecting people.

Like so many kittens, he’s active, lively, eagerly playful, and curiously looking for adventure wherever he can find it. Perfectly content to explore on his own too, he enjoys independently prowling and stalking shadows, dust bunnies, toys, other kittens, whatever is available, but he also likes ruff-n-tumble play sessions with bonded sibling, Rogue and will want some vigorous interactive playtime with his people and toys as well.

Once the play sessions are done though, Havok will readily seek out or accept any loving attention offered. Truly a people-cat, engaging, happy-to-be-involved, and quickly warming to new environments, this animated young charmer is also enthusiastically affectionate, and as much as he loves his toys and playtime, he’ll leave them behind in a second when an opportunity to snuggle with his people presents itself. An easy-to-please, happy and confident kitten, Havok is entirely comfortable being held and cuddled; and he’ll show his appreciation with some serious purring and the sweetest, gentlest kitten kisses when in the arms or on the lap of his favorite people.

Like his bonded foster sister, Rogue, Havok loves his food, and looks forward to treats along with small amounts of wet food in his daily diet.

Havok, like so many of our kittens, came to Monroe SPCA from animal control because of being sick and malnourished, a sole kitten found outdoors alongside his deceased mother who had been hit by a car, this orphaned boy has been treated for a URI, Giardia, fleas, and Roundworm while with us.

Now a healthy, happy kitten, Havok is looking for his forever family with a family willing to welcome him, along with his bonded sister, Rogue, as lifelong, cherished pets and family members.

Havok is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a low to moderately-active lifestyle and without active, young children under the age of six (6). An outgoing, extremely friendly and social kitten who will need a little bit of adjustment time to warm-up and adjust to his new surroundings, he gets along well with other compatible cats, and he’s comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs as well as with respectful children over the age of six (6). As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable cats and kittens, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Havok, along with his sister, Rogue, currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet them Tuesday – Thursday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; or by appointment; closed Sunday, Monday, and National Holidays. To start the adoption process for Havok and Rogue, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.

Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
