My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Big Mama, or Emma, came to Camp Chaos after her mom was in a car wreck, leaving her in a wheel chair for 4 to 6 months. Unfortunately for both mom & Emma but fortunately for our home, Emma has come to live with us while we find her a new furever home. Big Mama is about 5 years old & has great teeth. You would never know she is 5 based on her pearly whites. She weighs 66.7 lbs & is just a smidge overweight. After consulting a trainer who has extensive education on identifying breeds, we feel that she is most likely a pure-bred American Bulldog.

This is speculation, but the love she emits & accepts is bonafide! Emma loves to cuddle on the sofa and in bed. She doesn't enjoy being outdoors unless sitting by my side, and even then she will make her way indoors to lounge. She is a very good sleeper, acting as back support or a foot warmer, whichever you prefer. She is housetrained, spayed, heartworm negative, and current on all vaccinations as well as heartworm & flea/tick preventatives. She currently lives with a predominantly female pack but there is 1 male juvenile. There has been no issues with her and any of our dogs, both young and old. As a matter of fact, after living with us for a few weeks, Big Mama is quite the playful pooch & loves wrestling with our Catahoula, our lab/rottie mix, and our grumpy old Lhasa/terrier mix. She is child tested & does great! But she does chase cats.
All in all, it has been my joy to welcome her into our home and take her on walks. For the first-time adopter, you cannot go wrong with this girl. She will potty within the first two blocks of our walk and then carry on with her sniffing and walking.

All of the Camp Chaos dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. Please email captainchaos@campchaos37206.org for an application. Adoption fee varies depending on location of prospective adopter, the fee starts at $100 for local adoption (East Nashville). We do transport to the New England area which costs an additional $125 for transport and additional $45 for health certificate. We would love for Big Mama to go to a fantastic home in the New England area. She deserves some cool living for the rest of her sweet & low to the ground life! Thank you for wanting to share your home with one of our rescued pups!
