My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a 2yr old 7 lb long hair chihuahua mix which I recused from the pound a year ago. She has come a long way since I have had her and is a happy lap dog now. She loves people but can be shy at first. Once she warms up to you, she is a lap dog and will follow you everywhere! She is active and likes to be in the car and take walks. She doesn’t like to be alone and seems to be afraid of other dogs, especially at first but has been warming up to “calm” dogs.

She is house trained and uses the doggie door with no accidents in the house. She would do best with a calm home that can provide plenty of affection and attention. With my recent retirement, we have taken numerous trips this year and seem to be taking Pepper to the vet boarding place too often. We want to travel more now that we have the time and flexibility so it’s unfair to her to always be away for long periods of time. The timing isn’t right to have a pet right now so I want her to go to a good forever home.
