HUNTER
Breed: Shepsky (Siberian Husky/German Shepherd) / Adoption fee is normally $100 but now only $50 ($50 has been sponsored by another adopter)/ Sex: Male / Age: Approximately 2 yrs old / Weight: Approximately 65-70 pounds
Hunter is an amazing dog. He is very handsome, extremely friendly and very well behaved. Hunter is a rescue favorite and we have no idea why he is still with us. He loves people and gets along well with both male and female dogs. Hunter has completed a dog training program and knows how to sit, shake, stay and lay down. He is good with kids of all ages and would be great in any home.
House Manners: When Hunter was housed in the kennel room he would keep a clean indoor kennel and potty outside with access to a doggy door. He is now in group housing and there are no accidents in his 10 x 10 living quarters with access to a doggy door. According to his family who had him for a short while if they slacked on giving him exercise for to long he would get destructive. A tired or busy dog is a good dog.
Basic Training: Hunter knows sit, shake and down and stay. He is leash trained and would make a great running or hiking partner. He is also crate trained.
Other Dogs: Hunter has accepted and adjusted well to the other dogs he has met here which have been similar sized. But he is very mouthy with his play styles and likes to take dogs down by the neck, so he will need a companion that can handle that in stride.
Kids: Hunter would do well in any family.
Fencing: Hunter would do well in a 6 foot fenced in secure yard. He has not shown any escape tendencies and may do well in a shorter fenced in yard.
The adoption fee is $50. This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration, and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance.
