Hello
My name is Ginger. The vet estimates I am 5 to 6 years old and I am interviewing for my forever family.
My story starts out walking down a rural road with my 2 pups in tow. Our rescue picked me and my family up and a new chapter started. I am a natural mom, love puppies. After weaning my 2, I nursed 5 puppies that lost their mom until they were strong. I did all this while being diagnosed with advanced heartworms. For the next year I did the slow kill method, trying to slowly kill these nasty worms. My doctor then did one step of the fast kill method, which is always very risky. The next week my foster mom noticed for the first time I was shedding my old fuzzy looking hair, a very good sign. I was feeling better, breathing better and a new soft coat was starting to grow! Unfortunately, the load was very heavy, and I have permanent damage to my lungs. I sound like a person with asthma when you listen to my lungs. This is the reason I am marked as special needs. I need a home out of the southern heat and a place to chill and enjoy being a family member. I will never be a companion that can go jogging or real heavy activities. I love dog wrestling with my foster friends and taking a casual stroll thru home depot or tractor supply.
I am perfect in the house. I can stay indoors while you are at work and will not potty in the house. I love a big fluffy dog bed to sleep on every night. Prefer it to be in your bedroom so I can watch over you. I love people and will approach anyone to be loved on. My favorite thing is riding in the car. Front seat, back seat, it does not matter, let’s go for a ride!
I am spayed, micro chipped, current on all vaccinations. And officially heartworm negative as of last week!! My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee and a health certificate.
