Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Doc is a 1 year old male blue merle. He is very much a puppy in that he loves to play with other dogs and his human. He is house trained and uses a doggy door. We are working on his leash skills and needs to be reminded to walk not skip.
Doc had a failed bilateral FHO surgery and did not get physical therapy right after surgery, so it caused some permanent damage. Thru physical therapy and hydrotherapy he is 90% better. He has no limitations with that left hind leg, he just has a stretched ligament that does not slow him down at all. I say he is perfectly imperfect.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has the ability to continue 1x week with his physical therapy and 1x week with hydrotherapy. He gets along with both female and male dogs, cats and loves children. He rides well in a car, is crate trained and eats in his crate. His foster mom now is home 24/7 but when she is not, she has a pet sitter come in. I am sure he would be fine alone but does prefer another dog since he is used to that. He is a very good eater and currently takes no supplements. He does get frozen raw chicken feet 2x week (only one foot as they are full of glucosomine and chondroitin which are great for his bones and joints.) He absolutely loves them and they are completely safe for him to eat. He is very much a love bug and is looking for his own special family that understands his disability.
