This is BARON! This handsome big boy arrived into rescue after his family made the tough decision that he needed more care and attention than they could currently provide. Baron has been vetting and seen a cardiologist who confirmed his mitral valve insufficiency. Baron is on cardiac meds which he will need for life, along with continued cardiac care by a board-certified cardiologist.
His foster mama says Baron is just the sweetest fella and spunky at 11-years young! He’s an absolute love and he clearly thinks there’s no better place in the world for resting than a lap.
Baron loves to play fetch. He chases his toys and when he finally gets tired he’ll let you know because he starts chasing his tail instead. He is very energetic and playful.
He prefers to sleep in the big bed next to his person at night and will do well in a home where someone is around a lot. Baron is a very good boy. He’s house trained and will let you know whenever he needs to go out. He understands the command for “sit” and will let you put his leash on. He still doesn’t want to take many walks, but his foster hopes she can encourage him to enjoy a little exploring outside.
Everyone who meets Baron says he’s a “very chill” boy. He has such a nice, sweet disposition and prefers people most of all. He’ll do well in a quiet home, and since he’s used to being an “only dog”, he doesn’t need another dog in his forever home. He does great with people, but older kids only.
Baron's adoption fee is $300.
