My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.

Poppy is a very sweet female German Shepherd around 2 years of age and weighing 57 pounds. She came to us from another rescue group when we agreed to help place her. Poppy is a happy and sweet dog. She is good with people and LOVES children. Poppy is very loving but a bit on the shy and submissive side - she needs some confidence building. Poppy loves to play with other dogs, but gets scared if they play too rough with her. Poppy will chase cats. Poppy is fairly well behaved in the house, but may need additional training. She could also use additional obedience training. Poppy is young and energetic so she will need exercise. We want Poppy to be inside as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure fenced yard to run and play.

Poppy is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm free. She is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Poppy has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via PETS LLC for pickup in Brattleboro or White River Junction VT.
