My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jubilee is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female, DOB: 5/27/19.

An adorable and adoring snuggle-ball of charm and fluff, Jubilee is all sweetheart and engaging personality. A fearless, sometimes curiously brash kitten, she thoroughly enjoys ruff-n-tumble playtime with other felines - whether big cats or small kittens and just about anything in between, she’ll be seeking them out with invitations to join her in cute kitten play antics.

Equally content to play and conquer new feats all on her own too, Jubilee has an adventurer’s spirit and enjoys independently prowling and stalking shadows, dust bunnies, toys, and sometimes other kittens – fair game, whatever is available; she’ll also be looking for and inviting some vigorous interactive playtime with her people.

Not at all demanding and pretty easy to please, Jubilee has a great love of people and any affection they can offer. From receiving a few treats to hearing gently spoken words, she's just a happy kitten who's even happier when around her favorite people.

One of a litter of five kittens (who we call the X-men), Jubilee came to Monroe SPCA because of being sick and malnourished, found huddled outdoors inside of a boat motor (with her siblings) and thought to be recently orphaned. All five kittens have been treated for skin infections, Giardia, ear-mites, fleas, and Roundworm while with us.

Now a healthy, happy kitten, Jubilee is looking for a forever family who can give her the time and attention a kitten needs. We recommend a paired-adoption, perhaps with one of her siblings, either Legion or Mystique, who are both similarly-suited in personality and temperament to Jubilee, although a pairing with several of our other kittens would also be an excellent choice and good fit.

Jubilee is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a low to moderately-active lifestyle and without active, young children under the age of six (6). An outgoing, extremely friendly and social kitten who will need a little bit of adjustment time to warm-up and adjust to her new surroundings, she gets along well with other compatible cats, and she's comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs as well as with respectful children over the age of six (6).

As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Jubilee currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her Tuesday – Thursday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; or by appointment; closed Sunday, Monday, and National Holidays. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.

Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
