Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pluto is the definition of resilience and pure joy. This incredibly handsome boy was given a second chance at life after we rescued him from a shelter down south, where he ended up after being hit by a car. Thanks to a dedicated veterinary team, Pluto’s leg was saved, though he now gracefully gets around on three strong legs, using his saved leg mostly for balance.

But don’t let that fool you – Pluto doesn’t let anything slow him down! He’s full of life, love, and endless tail wags. His absolute favorite thing in the world? People! Pluto is a total cuddle bug who soaks up every bit of affection he can get. His happy, eager-to-please personality makes him an absolute joy to be around.

Pluto is looking for a home where he can be your one and only pet. In return, he promises to fill your heart with love and your days with laughter. He’s house-trained, enjoys the company of adults and older children (ages 12+), and would thrive best with a physically fenced-in yard where he can explore safely.

Pluto is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a furever family ♥

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

Additional adoption info

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Altered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $525

Unaltered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (A $100 sterilization deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $375

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

Adult dogs who have been with us for over 6 months: $188

At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
