Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Bodhi. He is the most lovable guy you’ll ever meet, who is about 4 years old and weighs about 23 pounds. He is house trained and good with other dogs. He is as lovable as can be and is currently in a foster home with another small shorty Jack Russell and they are getting along very well.
He likes children, 10 and up, because they can be gentle and he is interested mostly in one thing, and that is to be petted and played with. Bodhi's untested with cats but we do not recommend them in a home since he is a Jack Russell.
Someone has spent a lot of time training him, and he can sit, lie down, wait, come, and go lie down when asked. When you tell him out of the kitchen he listens and will go lie down, and does not beg when you eat. It is highly recommended that anyone who adopts him help reinforce this behavior so terrier experience, JRT experience is even better, is a must if you want to adopt Bodhi. He is a spicy Jack Russell who is very vocal when he doesn't want to do something.
He loves going on evening walks through his neighborhood and go on long walks out on trails, he's a champ on the leash and is always eager to meet other dogs. A backyard would be best for him since he loves to play fetch. It is one of his favorite thing to do at home and will bring the ball right back every time, dropping it at your feet when he is ready for another throw.
Bodhi is a calm and happy dog who loves to cuddle when invited up on the furniture with you, but is also very content and happy in his dog bed, relaxing and he does not need constant attention. Although he would like to sleep with his human companion, it is not necessary and he sleeps in his doggie bed through the night with no problem.
Bodhi would do best in a home with another dog (or dogs) or if his person is around most of the time. He is too social to sit home alone for a full workday. He is a special little guy who deserves a stable and loving long-term home.
Bodhi’s adoption fee is $275. He is being fostered in San Rafael, CA.
Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.
