Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pikachu was rescued with his 5 siblings and Mama. We were contacted about these little Nuggets in early July. It was a heatwave hitting 115 ° and they were left to the elements and predators. .
They were in a bush and the owner of the property wanted them removed or she was calling animal control. At such a young age they would have been immediately put down so we stepped up and went to find them.
It was easy to locate the babies but the feral mama was having nothing to do with us. It is imperative to take the Mama when rescuing newborn kittens or their chance of survival greatly decreases. We put her babies in one of our feral cat traps and waited and waited and waited. It was becoming evident that she was not entering the trap until she saw us leave. So we left. We returned the next morning and she was safely in the trap with all her babies.
When we got them home they had a bad case of the fleas and required hours of flea combing. Pikachu has been loved and handled from her second day of life so she is extremely friendly and trusting. Pikachu is fully vaccinated and neutered.
You can watch the video of her rescue and upbringing on the youtube link below.
