My story

Ruby came to Rise and Shine Pit Bull rescue as an evacuee from Hurricane Dorian. She was in a full, flood-prone shelter and desperate for a chance. We immediately fell in love with her (in fact, just about everyone does!). This sweet, pint-sized pibble is an easy-going, affectionate bundle of joy. Ruby exudes happiness and always wears the most contagious smile. She is SMART, attentive and eager to please. She is in love with having dog-friends and enjoys a good backyard zoomie session followed by a plush, cozy bed for snuggle-up time. With her petite size, she’s the kind of dog you can take just about anywhere - she rides in the car like a champ (she hops right in!). If you are looking for a dog that will fit right in without a lot of “work” Ruby is one of the most adaptable dog’s we’ve ever met. We think Ruby is a gem.
