Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky is a beautiful boxer that my wife and I adopted from a shelter in Montgomery County Maryland. He was almost 1 year old when we got him and will be 8 at the end of this month. The little we know of the first year of his life was that he was underfed (was only 45 lb when we got him), locked in his crate for extended periods of time (as stated by original owner), and clearly was not properly socialized during the most critical stage of his development. He's made a lot of improvement with training courses, behavioral consults, and meds, but two years ago had an isolated biting incident and then earlier this month attempted to bite my 16 month old daughter when she walked towards him. This was unprovoked and had not happened before with our daughter but he will sometimes snap at our cat or other dog (who he normally gets along with). We had previously decided to keep him despite worries about our daughter's safety but after this incident we need to do what's best for everyone.
